Lactate Testing Electrode Sensor Solutions
High-precision platinum electrode sensor technology providing core components for real-time lactate detection in sports medicine, intensive care and shock monitoring
Industry Overview
Lactate is a key indicator of tissue oxygen supply and metabolic status. Changes in its concentration have important diagnostic value in shock, sepsis, heart failure, sports medicine and postoperative monitoring. Elevated blood lactate levels usually indicate tissue hypoxia or microcirculatory dysfunction, and timely monitoring of lactate changes is essential for guiding clinical treatment and improving patient outcomes. The rapid growth of POCT point-of-care lactate testing demand continues to drive innovation in lactate sensor technology.
Huili Biotech specializes in the R&D and manufacturing of lactate testing electrode sensors. Using magnetron sputtering vacuum coating technology and enzyme modification processes, we provide customers with high-sensitivity, fast-response lactate testing electrodes and test strip OEM/ODM services.
Technical Solutions
1. Lactate Oxidase Electrodes
Lactate oxidase (LOD) specifically catalyzes the oxidation of lactate to pyruvate and hydrogen peroxide. By immobilizing highly active lactate oxidase on the electrode surface, selective detection of lactate molecules is achieved. Huili Biotech has optimized the enzyme immobilization process using chitosan-glutaraldehyde cross-linking and gold nanoparticle-assisted immobilization technology, significantly improving enzyme stability and electrode response sensitivity.
2. High-Catalytic-Activity Platinum Electrodes
The hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) generated by the lactate oxidase reaction undergoes electrochemical oxidation on the platinum electrode surface, producing a detectable current signal. Platinum electrodes offer excellent catalytic activity for hydrogen peroxide, with fast response and low detection limits. Huili Biotech uses magnetron sputtering to prepare nano-scale platinum thin films, optimizing the electrochemically active area and signal response characteristics of the electrodes by controlling film thickness and surface roughness.
3. Fast Response and POCT Compatibility
Lactate testing in emergency and ICU scenarios demands rapid results. By optimizing electrode structure, shortening diffusion paths and adopting hydrophilic enzyme membrane design, Huili Biotech keeps the detection response time within seconds, meeting the speed requirements of POCT point-of-care testing.
